Charlotte Hornets extend qualifying offer to guard Troy Daniels
The Charlotte Hornets are extending a qualifying offer to 6-foot-4 shooting guard Troy Daniels, making him a restricted free agent July 1.
That qualifying offer is for about $1.2 million for next season.
Daniels has three seasons of NBA experience. He came to the Hornets in February of 2015 from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the trade that also acquired point guard Mo Williams.
Daniels played in 43 games for the Hornets last season, averaging 5.6 points and 1.3 rebounds. He shot 48 percent from 3-point range last season.
