The 2015 Carolina Panthers are sure to go down as one of the best in franchise history. But how do today’s players stack up against the last Panther squad to play in the Super Bowl?  Each day from now until Super Bowl 50, we’ll compare position players from the 2003 team to their counterparts on the 2015 team. Your mission is to vote for who you think is better. Vote every day and create your Panthers Super Bowl dream squad!

The 2003 team had Pro Bowl kicker John Kasay - 13 for 17 from beyond 40 yards.

Three-time Pro Bowler Todd Sauerbrun - Averaged 44.6 yards per punt.

Pro Bowler Steve Smith returned punts - Averaged 10 yards per return with one touchdown.

Rod 'He Hate Me' Smart - Averaged 23.1 yards per return with one touchdown for 100 yards.  

The 2015 team has kicker Graham Gano - 15 - 20 from beyond 40 yards.

Brad Nortman - Averaging 45.4 yards per punt.

Ted Ginn is the punt returner - Averaging 10.3 yards per return.

Fozzy Whittaker and Joe Webb split the kick return duties (due to rule changes there are significantly fewer returns) - Averaging 22.7 yards per return.
