Panthers receiver Stephen Hill sits after tweaking surgically repaired knee
Panthers wide receiver Stephen Hill appeared to tweak his surgically repaired right knee Wednesday, the second time in a week Hill has had issues with the knee.
He was under the medical tent while an athletic trainer looked at his knee. Hill sat out the latter portion of practice and had ice on his knee afterward.
Hill sustained a season-ending injury on the second day of camp last year when he tore three knee ligaments (and his hamstring) while going up for a pass over the middle. He spent the offseason rehabbing with wideout Kelvin Benjamin, who went down with a season-ending ACL tear a couple of weeks after Hill.
Defensive end Kony Ealy remains sidelined while in the concussion protocol, while reserve defensive end Rakim Cox missed most of Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed injury. Receiver Tobais Palmer (Achilles) returned to practice from the physically unable to perform list.
