You can build your own bowls at Mezeh, opening soon in Uptown Charlotte.

Fast-casual Mediterranean spot Mezeh Mediterranean Grill will add another Charlotte location, this one uptown, the restaurant announced on Monday.

It will be located in the One South building on Tryon Street at Trade Street, offering a quick lunch option in the heart of Uptown. The restaurant features bowls, wraps and pita pockets, including build-your-own options.

Mezeh has dozens of locations across Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.

WHAT TO ORDER: Proteins include chicken shawarma, falafel or shredded lamb. Toppings include Lebanese tabbouleh, baba ganoush, pickled turnips and sumac cucumbers. Save room for fresh-baked cookies and baklava.

MORE GREEK LUNCH OPTIONS: The news comes on the opening day of Hellenic, another new Greek restaurant about a mile and a half away on South Boulevard in South End. Hellenic is owned by the same family that owns Charlotte Classic Eats favorite The Mad Greek.
