Another new restaurant is officially coming to Charlotte soon. Sixty Vines, a “wine country-inspired” spot, will be opening its doors in South End next month.

The Texas-based restaurant has multiple locations across the U.S., but this will be its first in North Carolina, The Charlotte Observer previously reported.

“We’ve had our eye on Charlotte for a while,” said Jeff Carcara, CEO of Sixty Vines. “With Sixty Vines’ pinkies down approach to wine culture, we’re excited to be part of the discovery of South End.”

Often referred to as “the wine-lover’s restaurant,” Sixty Vines has an eco-friendly wine-on-tap system designed to offer a “from the barrel” tasting experience, as if you’re at a vineyard instead of the city. Plus, there are several other cocktails, mocktails and beer, too.

“Our new restaurant was designed to deliver a contemporary and compelling wine country experience,” Carcara said.

There’s also a wide variety of small bites, shareables and other signature menu items made with ingredients sourced locally and from all over the world. From hand-tossed pizzas and pastas to charcuterie boards and desserts, there will be a lot of food to choose from to pair with any drink of your choice.

“You can have four different wines to pair with your shareables, and you can pair all the foods with the wines, so it’s basically like having a wine tasting at your table,” said Kristopher Johnson, Sixty Vines’ director of new restaurants.

Designed with a greenhouse, a pizza bar, a patio and more, Sixty Vines is a unique spot to dine in for brunch, lunch or dinner whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or dining in for a special occasion. The restaurant can even accommodate private events and group seatings, like baby showers, graduation dinners or holiday parties.

“There’s nothing like it in Charlotte. There’s nothing like it on the East Coast,” said Tony Bassano, general manager of Sixty Vines.

The restaurant at Vantage South End will be officially opening on Aug.21.
