Cocktail and small bites lounge Room Service opens today at Charlotte’s Camp North End
If a getaway to nowhere has been calling your name, Room Service at Camp North End might be serving up a Charlotte staycation idea on a platter.
The cocktail and small bites lounge opens Nov. 14, pledging a boutique hotel experience — just, without the hotel.
Owner Rachel Hopkins, who is also the co-owner of Camp North End’s Black Moth Bars, seeks to combine the welcoming ambiance of a hotel with a mid-century modern aesthetic. While you’re there, you’ll be ordering up new items to try, à la room service, of course.
Food menu
Ben Ramos of Melting Palate Catering is in charge of the food menu at Room Service. The menu includes:
- Eddie Forever sandwich: Garlic herb goat cheese, arugula, capicola, caramelized onion and balsamic glaze on Duke’s Italian ciabatta.
- IYKYK sandwich: Italian beef, provolone, herb mayo and giardiniera on a hoagie.
- Whipped Feta: Hot honey, tomato confit, lemon, pickled beets, fennel jam, grilled bread and graza.
- Carrot Croquettes: Carrots with chorizo herb gravy.
Cocktail menu
Look for a fun and funky menu, including:
- Life on Mars: Beefeater Gin, Licor 43, lemon curd, orgeat, egg white and caramelized lemon.
- No Shrubs: Pisco, blackberry + peach shrub, ancho reyes, lime and sage.
- Backwater: Dirty vodka, Graza, marinated olives and blue cheese olives.
