Grand reopening soon for Charlotte restaurant and bar that temporarily closed
Earlier this month, a Charlotte restaurant and bar that’s been in the Dilworth neighborhood for almost 15 years closed its doors — for now. But a reopening is on the way.
Lebowski’s Neighborhood Grill on East Boulevard temporarily closed to make some updates. The space has undergone changes with the help of the owners from another popular restaurant: Reid’s Fine Foods.
“We are excited to work with the Lewbowski’s team,” Reid’s stated at the time. “The goal is to reestablish Lebowski’s as a staple in the Charlotte community and we plan on doing this by offering excellent service, food and drink.”
The restaurant’s grand reopening will be Thursday, Aug. 31.
The restaurant, themed after the movie “The Big Lebowski,” originally opened back in 2009, but the new owners recently finished renovating the space last year with a refreshed kitchen and new menu items alongside longtime favorites, CharlotteFive previously reported.
According to Reid’s, the restaurant’s menu and decor are being updated. Moving forward, it will also be open every day.
“We will continue to offer Lebowski’s signature menu items while adding our own twist,” the Reid’s social media announcement stated. “We will build upon the strengths of Lebowski’s and create an atmosphere we all expect from our favorite neighborhood spot.”
Reid’s Fine Foods, a gourmet market with four locations across Charlotte and one in South Carolina, made its debut on Providence Road in 1928. It has since expanded its emphasis on wine, fine foods and custom-cut meats for those dining in and grabbing food to go.
CharlotteFive has reached out to the Lebowski and Reid’s teams to learn more about the new changes coming to the popular restaurant and bar.
