Let’s say you’re not a planner, but you still want to enjoy a nice meal for Easter in Charlotte without a ton of shopping or figuring out where to order in advance. We’ve got you.
If you do want to at least browse a few menus, we’ve rounded up where you can pre-order a holiday meal for Easter takeout or make reservations for a prix fixe meal or brunch buffet.
But there’s nothing wrong with spontaneity. If that’s more your speed, here’s a list of restaurants in Charlotte that will be open for service on Easter Sunday, no reservations needed.

Angry Ale’s will open for Easter brunch at 10 a.m., offering customizable mimosas for $4. Try the bonuts — fried biscuit dough tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with cream cheese dipping sauce ($4.95) — or dive into a Ron Swanson biscuit with sausage gravy and a sausage patty ($6.95).
All Bob Evans locations will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving special Easter meals and its regular lineup of favorites. You can start the day off with country fried steak and eggs ($12.49) or settle into dinner with turkey and dressing ($13.68) or a hickory-smoked ham steak ($12.68).

You can always drop in for brunch at Cracker Barrel, which serves all-day breakfast every day. Try a steak and egg hashbrown casserole ($12.49), or its stuffed cheesecake pancake breakfast ($11.99).
Emmy Squared will be serving up its new brunch offerings on Easter Sunday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., which include breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and even a breakfast burger. Later in the day for Easter dinner, you could stop in for its Detroit-style pizza, along with a lineup of salads, burgers and chicken sandwiches.

Hellenic, a restaurant from the family behind The Mad Greek, will be open Easter Sunday. Offerings will include its standard menu, which includes classic Greek items such as lamb chops, souvlakia and spanikopita. Specials include $7 mimosas and $8 Bloody Marys.
At Kid Cashew, you can celebrate the Easter holiday with vegan Mediterranean fare such as a Quinoa Stuffed Avocado or Wood-Fire Grilled Spanish Octopus. Or if you’re craving a burger, the Big Mac Daddy — with two all beef patties, special sauce, shredded lettuce, white cheddar cheese and pickles on a local sesame seed bun — would do the trick. Its Sunday specials are $3 mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys.

The Mad Greek, a staple for decades in the city’s Greek and Mediterranean food scene that’s one of Charlotte’s Classic Eats, will be open for Easter with no reservations. Browse the wide variety of choices, including 12 options for pita sandwiches, or a dinner of pastichio, calamari or moussaka.

You can pre-order a family meal from Metro Diner, or you can show up for Easter brunch to chow down on the restaurant’s carrot cake pancakes, waffles or bread pudding. For Easter dinner, you can enjoy fried chicken, meatloaf or a fried shrimp platter.
No reservations are taken at the Central Avenue location of Midwood Smokehouse, where you can choose an Easter dinner of ribs, a Lone Star brisket sandwich or Hickory smoked chopped pork and finish it off with banana pudding.

All of Optimist Hall’s food stalls will be open on Easter, including Boxcar Betty’s, Botiwalla, Papi Queso and more. With a variety of options, you can grab something to take home or meet up after everyone you’re with chooses their meal of choice.

Celebrate the Easter holiday with Cuban food at A Piece of Havana. The restaurant’s Cuban Croquettes can cover your ham cravings, and you can also find family platters for sharing such as its Paella Cubana, with lobster, shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari and more tucked into savory yellow rice.
Go Latin this Easter with a spread of street food with influences from El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico and Colombia at one of 18 locally owned Sabor restaurants. Choices include arepas, burritos, tortas, nachos or even a family meal box.
