Another New York-style pizza restaurant with handmade pasta officially open in Charlotte
A new local restaurant is bringing a taste of New York to Charlotte with crispy pizza, premium pastas and more.
The culinary masterminds behind Inizio Pizza Napoletana opened a new pizza concept in the Ballantyne area: Finale Pizza.
“This concept has been long in the making. I just love great pizza and fresh pasta. I love it in all forms, and we want Charlotte to have an amazing pizza scene,” owner Grant Arons said in a statement sent to CharlotteFive.
“I think the city has been adding fantastic pizzerias the last few years and I’ve been wanting to bring a world class New York style pizza to the mix.”
‘The grand finale of pizza — NY style’
With a specialty for “the pizza that many consider the pinnacle of all styles,” the new restaurant serves a variety of slices made with “a little snap, some crunch, and just the right amount of chew” complete with shaved parmigiano reggiano.
On the menu, you have your choice of classic flavors like cheese, tomato, toasted white, parma, vodka slices along with Hornet pizza — made with pepperoni, Calabrian peppers, hot honey and basil — and Sweety Pie with Italian sausage, sweety drop peppers and stracciatella.
To top it off, there’s a long list of other meats, veggies and cheeses you can add too, like Cupping pepperoni, Ezzo sausage, ricotta, Calabrian peppers, prosciutto di Parma, breaded chicken and more.
In addition to crispy pizza available by the slice, Finale Pizza also has handmade pasta and sauces, plus wings, salads, small bites, beer wine, cannoli and more.
“I think we’ll be giving ourselves some stiff competition with Finale,” Arons said.
