Big moves are in store for Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shacks.

The Charlotte-based restaurant, known for its crispy fried chicken, has shut down its South End location as part of a plan to prepare for two new spots in the area.

Bossy’s is bringing a taste of its family’s fried chicken recipes to new shacks in Park Road Shopping Center and near Concord, which are set to open this summer, the team confirmed to CharlotteFive.

“In order to allow for a smooth transition to the new site, Bossy Beulah’s Griffith Street location officially concluded operations this past weekend,” ahead of its move to the space formerly home to Rocksalt, which closed last summer after a decade in business.

Now, the old seafood spot is undergoing construction to be transformed into Bossy Beulah’s latest addition to the Charlotte area.

“The new Bossy Beulah’s location will offer expanded parking, a spacious patio, and the same beloved chicken that our guests have come to know and love,” the team said in a release sent to CharlotteFive. “This move to Park Road Shopping Center is a direct response to the continued and generous support from our Charlotte community, and we’re simply making more room at the table.”

Bossy Beulah’s originally opened on Freedom Drive before expanding with spots in Fort Mill, Winston-Salem and Ballantyne. The new locations will mark the restaurant’s fifth and sixth locations.

An opening date has yet to be announced for the Park Road Shopping Center or the Concord-area location, but CharlotteFive has reached out for more details.
