A South End restaurant was shuttered after 5 years. Here’s what’s moving in.
An upscale restaurant and lounge is joining Charlotte’s growing Indian food scene.
Zamindar’s Club House is slated to open in South End in early 2026, according to the Word on the Street CLT and CLT Development.
The fine dining restaurant will feature dishes by Michelin-recommended chef Vamshi Adi of New York, known for “taking traditional Indian dishes and adding updated twists and new flavors,” the outlet reported.
“An Indian restaurant & lounge shaped by a shared love of music and food,” a sign covering a window of the forthcoming restaurant reads.
Zamidar’s will open in the former Link & Pin space at the Bradham at New Bern apartments. That restaurant permanently closed its five-year-old flagship location in January, along with with the Ballantyne location of its sister concept, Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse, after 12 years in business, CharlotteFive reported.
“We are deeply grateful to our guests who have supported us in each neighborhood, and to our dedicated team members who have consistently delivered exceptional dining experiences at both concepts,” owner Rob Duckworth said at the time.
Link & Pin’s other locations — in Huntersville and at The Aboretum Shopping Center — remain open, as do five other Duckworth’s locations.
Zamindar’s is the latest in a wave of Indian restaurants making a splash in Charlotte’s food scene.
Nawabi Hyderabad House, known for its biryanis, opened in uptown on Dec. 1, CharlotteFive previously reported. Utsav Supermarket + Food Hall opened back in October and offers South Asian groceries, a food court and private event space all under one roof.
CharlotteFive reached out to Zamindar’s for more information and was awaiting a response.
