Here’s when Raising Cane’s is opening its first Charlotte-area restaurant
A new hotspot for chicken fingers is on its way to the Charlotte area.
You’ll be able to eat Raising Cane’s chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries and Cane’s sauce starting Tuesday, Feb. 24, a news release sent to CharlotteFive said. The tightly curated menu includes sandwiches, coleslaw and Texas toast.
The doors open at 10 a.m., but Raising Cane’s is getting the party started at 8 a.m. with a DJ spinning tunes and giveaways for customers eager to secure a place in line. There will also be a “Lucky 20” drawing from 8-9 a.m. to award 20 customers ages 13 and older free Cane’s for a year.
The national chain that got its start in Louisiana in 1996 is opening just a few exits away from Charlotte in a former Bob Evans restaurant location. The site sits in a busy area off Interstate 77’s Dave Lyle Boulevard exit, with a shopping center, movie theater and other restaurants nearby, including an Olive Garden across the street.
Charlotteans have been eager to get a bite of Raising Cane’s in the area for years. Additional locations could be on the way, but none have been confirmed. Charlotte Business Journal reported the company is hiring an area director of operations, whose role will focus on growth, among other things.
North Carolina’s three existing locations are in Chapel Hill, Camp Lejeune and Greenville. South Carolina has locations open in Clemson, Summerville, North Charleston and Mt. Pleasant.
