Brewers at 4001 Yancey
4001 Yancey Road
South End is ready to welcome one of the biggest new breweries in Charlotte during Memorial Day Weekend. The brewery is opening inside a former fiber processing facility, under Artisanal Brewing Ventures, owner of Victory Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewing Co. Thus, you can anticipate brews by both Southern Tier and Victory.
Queen City Grounds
644 N. Church St.
A market-like vibe with food by Jeff McElwee of formerly popular eatery FūD at Salud in NoDa, coffee roasted in-house, merchandise and local art — what more could you want on the ground floor of your apartment building? SkyHouse Uptown is getting lucky this month, with soft openings already underway.
Maple Street Biscuit Co.
8875 Christenbury Parkway, Concord
This comfort-food-focused restaurant with a modern twist is expected to open its Concord location in mid-May. But hang onto your stretchy pants for the incoming SouthPark location as well (opening date to come). The flaky biscuits, home fries and grits are on their way.
Graciously serving comfort food with a modern twist since 2012. Coming to Concord, NC in May 2018.

And coming sooner….
Shake Shack
4101 Park Rd.
It’s no secret at this point what this burger chain is all about. It was created by legendary restaurateur Danny Meyer in New York’s Madison Square Park and people have been drooling over the mere news of it coming to Charlotte for months. There are only a few days left to imagine the burgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches before the April 26 opening date at 11 a.m. Don’t forget: The first 100 people in line will get a custom “Shake Shack X 704” hat.
Bonus: Another Shack Shack is in the works for a late 2018 opening in Blakeney Village.

We learned more than a month ago that “something Deli-shious” was going to happen here in Plaza Midwood. This new bakery, coffee and bottle shop concept is set to open finally April 27 with subs, sandwiches, salads, bakery goods, coffee, smoothies, beer and wine.
