Charlotte-filmed reality TV series grabs 2024 Emmy nomination

The Charlotte season of “Love is Blind” is once again in the spotlight after landing a nomination for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The latest and sixth season of the hit Netflix reality show, which premiered on Valentine’s Day, is in the running for Outstanding Structured Reality Program.

The show, which is set in a new city with every new season, is a dating experiment with singles building connections behind closed doors to ultimately test whether or not love is blind.

From the pods to the Primetime Emmy Awards

Over the years, “Love is Blind” has earned six Emmy nominations since its debut, with this year’s being the fourth for Outstanding Structured Reality Program.

Since making its debut on the streaming service in 2020, “Love is Blind” has quickly become one of the most popular shows on Netflix. Of all the previous seasons, the latest one filmed in Charlotte — filled with blindsiding breakups, off-screen social media scandals and even a diss from Travis Kelce — was the most streamed in the show’s history, a Netflix spokesperson told CharlotteFive.
