A Duke grad and a Wilmington ‘charmer’ to be on new season of ‘The Bachelor’ on ABC
The North Carolina-Bachelor Nation streak continues.
After several seasons featuring local singles, two more contestants with ties to the Tar Heel state will be on ABC’s “The Bachelor” soon.
Twenty-five women from around the world will be in the spotlight on their journey to love with 31-year-old Grant Ellis, a day trader from New Jersey, including Kyleigh Henrich from Wilmington and Duke University graduate Zoe McGrady.
Meet Kyleigh
“Kyleigh is a Southern charmer with a huge heart and a sweet personality. She’s always dreamed of getting married and becoming a mom, and feels more ready than ever to meet her husband. She is looking for an honest and consistent man who is able to show commitment through action, as well as someone who is ready to become a dog dad to her mini goldendoodle, Bella,” her contestant bio states.
“Kyleigh loves surfing, playing pickleball and beach camping with her friends. She is a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic who is ready for the real deal, so she’s putting all her faith in this journey with no regrets.”
Fun fact: The 26-year-old retail manager loves line dancing and her favorite movie is “Pearl Harbor.” She also lived in Uganda for four months.
Meet Zoe
Similarly to Kyleigh, Zoe also has a heart for outdoor adventure, according to her contestant bio. The model and tech engineer currently lives in New York City, but graduated from Duke University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
“Zoe isn’t afraid to go after what she wants, and what she wants now is to find her Prince Charming,” her contestant bio states.
“When she’s not working, she likes to adventure outdoors with activities like boating, jet skiing, surfing and ice skating. Zoe loves cooking fancy dinners for her partner when she’s in love, so hopefully Grant’s ready to be surprised with tasty tokens of her affection. She wants to meet a man with transparency who is supportive and as committed as she is.”
The 27-year-old was also the first female wrestler to join her high school wrestling team. Fun facts about Zoe: She “can’t and won’t live without tacos” and nothing makes her happier than puppies and babies.
The two women join a long list of Bachelor nation stars from North Carolina:
Denver’s Michael Stevens from Joan Vassos’ season
Raleigh’s Marcus Shoberg from Jenn Tran’s season
Charlotte’s Madina Alam from Joey Graziadei’s season
Raleigh’s Xavier Bonner and Wilmington’s John Henry Spurlock from Charity Lawson’s season
