Explore local art at this month’s free South End Gallery Crawl. Held the first Friday of every month, South End galleries including StudioWorks, Shed Brand Studios, Hodges Taylor Art Consultancy, Dilworth Artisan Station and Gallery C3 at Alchemy open their doors to the public. Some will serve light refreshments and have the artists available to chat about their work on display. Hart Witzen Gallery and Moving Poets Charlotte are teaming up for a group exhibition celebrating the timeless tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, “The Little Prince.” Over 60 artists will showcase their works (for one night only) exploring “The Little Prince,” loneliness, friendship, love and loss, childhood, imagination and the inevitability of growing up. Moving Poets performance artist Alyce Cristina Vallejo will premiere ‘Glimpses: One’ — a performance piece investigating childhood innocence, unconditional love, loss, what’s truly important in life, what’s worth holding onto and the necessity of letting go.
