Whether you’re looking for a spot to simply sip a Guinness or a green beer, or whether you’d rather party with hundreds of brand new friends while you toast to the leprechauns, there’s a spot that’s right for you.
Here are pub crawls, a parade and more ways to mark St. Paddy’s Day in Charlotte:
Buttermilk Sky Pie

What to know: Buttermilk Sky Pie shop is offering its signature thumbprint cookies in green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

2023 Official St. Patrick’s Bar Crawl Charlotte
Location: Tattooz N’ Booz Nightclub, 505 East 6th Street #Unit 100 Charlotte, NC 28202
When: Second crawl is Saturday, March 18. Check in from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and the crawl lasts from 1-9 p.m.
What to know: Join more than 1,000 crawlers as they hit up participating bars and restaurants to get deals and discounts. You must have a Bar Crawl Live wristband to avoid cover — the businesses participating are exclusive to the Official St. Patrick’s Bar Crawl.
Cost: Tickets start at $23, but will go up to $40 after 200 are sold.
RíRá Paddy’s Fest

What to know: Paddy’s Fest will honor Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick, with:
March 17: St. Patrick’s Day — Along with Irish cover bands, there will be traditional bagpipe and Irish tap dance performances.
March 18: 6 Nations Rugby Final - First game starting at 10:45 a.m. (France v. Wales) and second, beginning at 1 p.m. (Ireland v. England).

What to know: Enjoy live Celtic-inspired music from concert violinist Sandy Herrault and headliner Opal Moon while overlooking a green dyed waterfall and enjoying traditional Irish fare from food trucks, including shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, and more. You’ll also find shamrock wine slushies and other drink specials. Bring your lawn chairs to guarantee seating, but leave your cooler at home — outside alcohol is prohibited.
Cost: Early bird general admission is $16 or $20 at the door. If you include reservations for the candle making workshop with Old Oak Market in the pavilion, it’s $60.

Baxter Village/Fort Mill Spring Fest and St. Patrick’s Day Parade

What to know: The largest running Spring Festival & St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the Charlotte region, the annual event will feature more than 125 vendors, Irish dancers, floats, pro sports mascots, live entertainment and the city’s largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade. To participate in the parade, go to the Baxter-Close YMCA North Lot by 4:15 p.m.; no sign-up required.
