Take a look around the new Rally pickleball entertainment complex

Rally, Charlotte’s new massive pickleball and entertainment complex, will open June 28 in Lower South End.

Charlotte is the flagship location for Rally, which combines the love of pickleball (four indoor courts and four outdoors) with a foodie experience that includes a restaurant serving globally inspired street food, two cocktail bars and a coffee bar. Let’s take a look around — check out the video ⬆️ and the gallery ⬇️:

By the numbers — here’s what you can expect on your visit:

  • 27,650 square feet of space

  • 4 indoor pickleball courts
  • 4 outdoor pickleball courts
  • 2 buildings
  • 2 cocktail bars, serving specialty drinks like Cheerwine Negronis as well as nonalcoholic spirits.

WHAT ARE THE RULES OF PICKLEBALL? Here’s how to play and what you need.

Here’s who is behind Rally:

  • Executive Chef Cory Chunn

  • Mixologist Jackson Cannon

  • Night Swim Coffee is the local roastery supplying coffee to the coffee bar.

  • Redline Design was the architect, and Lumber & Light did the interior design.

Pickleball for millennials

Think pickleball is for an older crowd? Not so much — Charity and Worthington created Rally as a country club experience for a younger, more inclusive crowd. “We always envisioned Rally as a place where active millennials like us could play pickleball in a vibrant, elevated social environment, all while enjoying premium cocktails and cuisine,” said Charity, who is also a professional pickleball player.
