Where are Charlotte’s Chiefs and Eagles bars? Where to watch your team in the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Sunday is nigh, people. It’s time to prepare yourself for some (preferably Moosehead) wings, a busy bar, and for some tear-jerker commercials.

But first and foremost, it’s time to find your crowd.

We’ve gathered a list of the unofficial official Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles bars in Charlotte to watch the game, whether you’re a diehard fan or just swaying a certain way. Fair warning: the list does lean a bit Eagles-oriented. (It seems after Tyber Creek Pub, a legendary Chiefs bar amongst other identities, closed in March of 2024, the Chiefs bar scene has been in the shadows.)

Some of these Charlotte bars are hosting casual watch parties on Sunday, Feb. 9, while others have longtime loyalist crowds. But, being a city of transplants, it’s no surprise Charlotte has a few established pockets for Philly and Kansas City fans.

“We’re friends, we’re family, we see each other every Sunday during football season,” Michael Martalette said. Martalette, an Eagles fan, is the founder of South End Social, a social and events group that collaborates with Big Ben Pub to host Eagles watch parties. Seeing the same faces week after week, year after year is how culture and community emerges.

Although the Chiefs and the Eagles sound like sworn enemies, their fanbases are expressing similar sentiments. “This group is more than just a fan base, we’re a family. The friendships we’ve built here wouldn’t have been possible without this amazing community,” Kristen Bealler of the Charlotte Chiefs Fans group said.

As for some friendly competition, Bealler of the Chiefs group said “3-peat, baby! We know this Super Bowl is going to be an incredible game with top-tier competition from the Eagles, but there’s no doubt the team is built for this moment.”

Martalette of the Eagles crew said “To be the champs, we got to beat the champs ... we are excited.”

Alongside Big Ben Pub and Kilted Buffalo, here are the Charlotte-area bars to watch your team with your crowd on Super Bowl Sunday:

Kansas City Chiefs bars

Kilted Buffalo (Chiefs)

Location: 1535 Elizabeth Ave, Charlotte, NC 28204

Menu: American

Instagram: @kiltedbuffaloplaza

Kilted Buffalo in Plaza Midwood is a spacious watering hole with 40 beer options, wine, and a full service restaurant. It’s got a host of games like shuffleboard and cornhole, but for game day, the TVs will be on and lining the walls.

Bealler and the Chiefs fandom (which includes over 1200 people on Facebook) will be hosting a watch party at Kilted Buffalo. Bealler said the atmosphere is electric, including DJs and classic Chiefs songs. Possibly “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)”, as performed by Travis Kelce in 2023?

This watch party officially begins at 6:30 pm. According to the group’s Facebook chat, it’s best to arrive 2 to 3 hours before the game for a seat. Kilted Buffalo opens at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

“The staff at Kilted Buffalo welcomed us like family,” Bealler said. Us being Charlotte’s own Chiefs Kingdom. “It feels just like being back home at Arrowhead [stadium] … We always bring the energy and keep our stadium traditions, along with a few traditions of our own, alive at every watch party,” she said.

The Daily (Chiefs)

Location: 214 N Church St, Charlotte, NC 28202

Menu: American

Instagram: @thedailyclt_

This Uptown joint is a tavern meets pub vibe with low ceilings and lots of TVs. While there is no official Chiefs fandom here, rumor has it that it gathers quite a Chiefs crowd.

Philadelphia Eagles bars

Big Ben Pub (Eagles)

Location: 1535 Elizabeth Ave, Charlotte, NC 28204

Menu: British fare, American

Instagram: @bigbenpubclt

Big Ben Pub has become the official Eagles bar, thanks to South End Social and its Eagles-fan founder. For over 6 years, Martalette has organized Eagles game day gatherings with the pub, doing raffles, giving out Eagles prizes, even bringing in a DJ. He told CharlotteFive that during typical game days, anywhere from 100 to 150 Eagles fans show up. Last week, it was 400. This Sunday, it’ll be more.

Doors open at this Elizabeth bar at 10 a.m. for first-come, first-serve seating. DJ BBQ Sauce will start the pre-game party at Big Ben Pub at 3 p.m. Expect a $17 bucket of domestic beers, $5 Fireball shots, and a customized Super Bowl menu. Its Superbowl classics meets English pub fare, Martallette described.

It’ll be Eagles green through and through, but Martalette is sure to clarify this: “Philadelphia gets such a bad rap for our fans but … We’re in Charlotte, we’re not in Philadelphia, so we’re not in that type of atmosphere,” he said. “It’s such an electric atmosphere … We really try to make it family-friendly.”

He’s ready for a packed bar with nearly 75% of the room standing.

Caswell Station (Eagles)

Location: 366 N Caswell Rd, Charlotte, NC 28204

Menu: New American

Instagram: @caswellstation

While Caswell is not an official Eagles Bar, it is a sister property to Big Ben Pub. So, Martalette said they will be hosting a watch party for Eagles fans, too. Caswell in Elizabeth has a large front patio, two floors, and burgers and bar food for the masses.

Must Be Nice (Eagles)

Location: 332 W Bland St E, Charlotte, NC 28203

Menu: Drinks

Instagram: @must.be.nice.clt

Doors open at noon for the big game on Sunday. For large parties and booking tables, DM Must Be Nice on Instagram. The bar promises a free welcome gift if visitors come in Eagles apparel, and complimentary pizza and wings come with all reservations. Along with a regular bar, Must Be Nice will have a Kelly Green Tea shot bar in the spirit of the game.

Owner Orlando Botero is the owner of Must Be Nice and a die hard Eagles Fan. Director of Marketing Events Bethany McKenna said this bar brings the energy of the Linc — the Eagles’ stadium — to Charlotte with watch parties and a 20-foot video wall with game sound.

Steamer’s Sports Bar (Eagles)

Location: 1513 Pierson Dr, Charlotte, NC 28205

Menu: American, with a specific NFL menu

Instagram: @steamerssportspubclt

Steamer’s in East Charlotte, not too far from Oakhurst, has over 100 TVs and cheap pool. It is the longest running Eagles-loving bar I could find. Specials include $6 Touchdown Shooter, $15 buckets of Miller Lite & Yuengling and $7.99 pretzel bites.
