Here’s what to know about the Charlotte concert and how to get tickets.
When and where is the concert?
TLC and Salt-N-Pepa are headlining the concert, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, according to ticket vendor Ticketmaster.
The groups are set to join En Vogue at Truliant Amphitheater, formerly called PNC Music Pavilion. The venue is in the University City area, a roughly 15-mile drive northeast from uptown Charlotte.
“This is an outdoor venue with portions of the reserved seats under cover,” Ticketmaster wrote on its website. “The show will take place rain or shine.”
How to get tickets
Pre-sale tickets for the “It’s Iconic” tour will be available starting 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 24. To see when or if you may be able to get early access, visit the Ticketmaster website at ticketmaster.com.
Then at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, seats are set to go on sale for the general public. You can find those tickets at livenation.com.
The Charlotte concert is one of dozens of upcoming tour stops the three groups have scheduled across the United States this summer and fall. The only other North Carolina show is planned for Raleigh on Saturday, Sept. 19.
“I feel like this is going to be the most fun touring experience I’ve ever had,” Cheryl James, also known as Salt from the hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa, said in a March 23 video.
Salt-N-Pepa and the other groups on the tour rose to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s.
TLC is known for blending R&B and rap influences in hits such as “No Scrubs” and “Waterfalls.” Meanwhile, En Vogue’s songs “helped redefine contemporary R&B and set the vocal and visual standard for the generation of girl groups that followed,” according to Live Nation and the groups’ websites.
