Charlotte Five's Readers' Choice

These are your favorite Greek restaurants in Charlotte. Which one is the best?

We’re looking for the Charlotte area’s best Greek food, and now it’s time to put your nominations to a vote.

First, we asked you to nominate your favorite Greek restaurants with gyros, spanakopita, moussaka and other Greek dishes you can’t resist.

You offered 18 nominees, and next we’ll put them to a vote to see which ones should move forward to the next round.

As with past CharlotteFive Readers’ Choice contests, each restaurant must have a location in the Charlotte area — which includes Lake Norman, Gastonia, Matthews, Mint Hill, Fort Mill and other nearby communities — and have fewer than 20 locations nationwide. (Showmars lovers, we’re so sorry — but that means the Charlotte-based chain has too many restaurants to be eligible. The same goes for Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe.)

How to vote

  • The second round will determine the Top 5. It begins shortly after noon on Friday, June 12 and will be live until noon Monday, June 15.

A high-angle overhead shot of a fresh Greek dinner spread arranged on a gray textured background. The centerpiece is a white oval platter filled with seasoned, grilled chicken souvlaki skewers resting on lemon slices and garnished with fresh parsley. Surrounding the platter are several small plates with pita bread and chicken, bowls of creamy tzatziki sauce garnished with dill, two glasses of white wine, and a colorful side salad filled with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and kalamata olives.
