We see them every day on street corners and medians, people asking for money by holding signs or walking up to cars or people. But what is life like for a Charlotte panhandler?


Kenny “New York” Miller and Mark “Lefty” Jacobson are familiar faces to motorists traveling through the South Boulevard and Woodlawn Road intersection in Charlotte. The two panhandlers known for waving at motorists are just trying to survive on the monetary gifts they receive.
