Lanes reopen on I-485 in northwest Charlotte following fatal crash
All lanes reopened on the outer loop of Interstate 485 in northwest Charlotte after a fatal crash Thursday morning.
The crash happened near the Oakdale Road exit, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said. MEDIC said one person was dead and no one else was transported to the hospital. The crash backed up traffic for several hours.
The crash was cleared by Thursday afternoon, according to DriveNC, a Department of Transportation website that tracks traffic incidents.
