Six people shot, one fatally, around 2 a.m. on College Street uptown, police say
Six people were shot, one fatally, around 2 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of North College Street uptown, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said in a news release.
Police did not say what they believe led to the shooting or how many people they believe fired guns.
One person was dead on scene, MEDIC transported three others to hospitals, and two more went to a hospital on their own, CMPD said.
Their identities were not released.
A person was shot about 24 hours earlier on East 7th Street in uptown; police released no information on what they believe led to that shooting.
Last weekend, two people were killed a third injured in a shooting uptown.
