4-week-old kitten thrown from car is saved in Ohio. Meet ‘strong little fighter’

A newborn kitten is healing after being thrown from a car April 20, an Ohio shelter said.
The kitten, named Prissy, was rescued by a good Samaritan, but she has a journey of healing ahead of her, the Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue in Cincinnati said.
“This sweet little 4 week old kitten was thrown out of a car window this morning. A passerby rescued her and took her to the Care Center ER,” the shelter said in a Facebook post.
“She’s a strong little fighter and is showing signs of improvement but has a long road ahead of her.”
Melissa Thomas, vice president of the organization, spoke with WKRC, explaining that the vehicle Prissy was tossed from was moving.
“It hurts your heart. It hurts your soul to just think that someone could do something like that,” Thomas told the news station.
“She’s got an abrasion here, and she had a bunch of blood coming from her nose; her eyes were all swollen.”
The shelter posted a positive update on Prissy’s progress April 21, saying that she’s slowly, but surely, getting better.
“Our sweet little Prissy is continuing to improve,” the shelter said. “She’s showing everyone what a fighter she is! She moving around a bit, taking her syringe feedings well, and throwing around some sass.”
People were heartbroken to learn about Prissy’s condition.
“We were at the CARE Center yesterday when this poor little baby was brought in. It was heartbreaking to hear her cries,” one person said in the comment section. “I’m sure she was in so much pain. We offered to take her but was told Peppermint Pig was sponsoring her care and adoption.”
“Omg poor baby. Heartsick,” another said.
“Poor little baby,” someone said.
