A major barrier to voting for some is getting to the polls.

Fortunately, there are ways to get a free or discounted ride to cast your ballot.

The Charlotte Area Transit System announced that all bus routes, LYNX Blue Line, CityLYNX and paratransit services will be free on Election Day.

Lyft, a ride sharing app, is providing discounted rides to the polls. On Election Day, voters can use the promo code “VOTE22” for a 50% discount of up to $10 on their rides.

Transportation company Lime is offering free rides to the polls on their electric bikes and scooters on Election Day. Riders can use the promo code “RIDETOTHEPOLLS22” for two free 30-minute rides to and from their polling places.
