One lottery ticket and $3 later, a South Carolina woman’s life changed.

The lottery player went to a Quick Pantry in Greenwood to buy a Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword scratch-off ticket, according to a Sept. 8 news release.

“It’s my favorite ticket,” she told lottery officials.

After scratching off the numbers, she saw luck was on her side.

She won $100,000.

The winner told officials the win was “amazing” and she feels “grateful” to “buy and take care of” some things in her life with the money.

She beat 1 in 600,000 odds to take home the top prize.

Greenwood is about 75 miles west of Columbia.
