See photos and videos of snow and ice in Charlotte as winter storm moves through

A lining of ice and snow blanketed the Charlotte region on Sunday morning with more freezing rain expected throughout the day.

The Charlotte area has a 100% chance of precipitation Sunday and more than a quarter of an inch of ice is expected to accumulate on surfaces. The high Sunday will be 30 degrees and the low will be in the upper 20s, forecasters say.

With more expected effects, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, along with other regional districts, have canceled school for tomorrow.
