North Mecklenburg is off to a 3-0 start under second-year coach Eric Morman. The Vikings are now ranked in the Observer’s Sweet 16 poll.
North Meck enters the poll at No. 16 this week.
Before Morman got to the school, North Meck produced one winning season in 10 years. Morman’s first team was 9-4. His second team, unbeaten so far, plays 3-1 Concord Cox Mill Friday.
