He also netted one goal in a 3-1 victory over rival A.L. Brown on Sept. 4, and has three goals for Concord (4-3-1) this season.

Chase Driscoll, West Lincoln soccer: The Rebels’ sophomore goalkeeper had 23 saves in a 4-0 shutout at Stuart Cramer on Sept. 2.

The next day, Driscoll had seven saves in a 2-1 win over Shelby. Driscoll also saved a penalty kick in the victory.

Driscoll has 75 saves, including two penalty kicks saves for West Lincoln (4-3) this season.

Holden Dulin, Metrolina Christian soccer: The Warriors’ senior wingback scored two goals in a 4-3 double overtime loss to Concord Academy on Sept. 2.

Dulin also had two more goals in a 5-4 loss at Gaston Day, the defending NCISAA 2A state champions, on Sept. 4.

Dulin has eight goals and two assists for Metrolina Christian (2-5-1) this season.

Dulin is getting recruiting interest from Columbia International University, Milligan University and North Greenville University, according to Metrolina Christian soccer coach Joe Morgan.

Kaleb Frost, Piedmont soccer: The Panthers’ sophomore forward scored two goals in a 4-0 Center win at Central Cabarrus on Sept. 4.

Frost has four goals and one assist for Piedmont (2-1-3) this season.

Charles Guggenheimer, Charlotte Latin cross-country: The Hawks’ junior ran a 17:55.50 to win the individual title at the Tryon Cross Country Invitational at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Springs on Sept. 6.

Guggenheimer’s efforts also helped Charlotte Latin win the team title, beating the field by 47 points.

Guggenheimer also ran a personal-best 16:53.70 at the Eye Opener Invitational in Spartanburg on Aug. 30.

Chayce Johnson, Covenant Day soccer: The Lions’ sophomore midfielder had one goal and one assist in a 3-2 win at Wesleyan Christian on Sept. 2.

Johnson also scored three goals and had another assist in a 5-2 win over Davidson Day on Sept. 4.

Johnson has seven goals and two assists for Covenant Day (7-1) this season.

Elias Nojaim, Davidson Day soccer: The Patriots’ star scored five goals combined as Davidson Day beat Asheville Christian Academy (in overtime, Sept. 2) and Forsyth Country Day (5-4, Sept. 5), and lost at Covenant Day (5-2, Sept. 5).

Matthew Perrone, Providence cross-country: The Panthers’ senior ran a personal-best 16:06.40 to finish 18th in the 295-runner field at the Friday Night Lights’ Cross-Country Festival at Ivey Redmon Sports’ Complex in Kernersville on Sept. 5.

Perrone’s run also helped the Providence cross-country team to a 22nd-place finish at the same race.

Thomas Pippett, Providence soccer: The Panthers’ sophomore scored a goal on a free kick and had an assist as Providence won 2-0 at nationally-ranked Marvin Ridge on Sept. 4.

Providence (5-2-1) also tied Charlotte Catholic 1-1 at home on Sept. 2.

Pippett played all 160 minutes in the two Panthers’ games this week.

Tyler Ridley, Weddington soccer: The Warriors’ senior scored three goals in a 7-0 win over Ashbrook to help Weddington to its first win this season on Sept. 3.

Weddington (1-3-1) also lost 2-0 at Garinger on Sept. 2.
