Rick Bonnell’s postcard from China: The Shanghai waterfront

A month ago I started emailing friends who’d been to China, looking for advice on Shenzhen and Shanghai. Constantly heard the same thing:

“You will love Shanghai’s waterfront.”

I love Shanghai’s waterfront.

This was the Hornets’ first full day in Shanghai. After dark we bused over to a reception the NBA hosted at the House of Roosevelt. We’d been told the eighth-floor deck was the best view in Shanghai.

It did not disappoint.

I’m not big on snapping a lot of pictures. Selfies sure aren’t me. But I was so charmed by the beauty at night reflected off the water, I kept hitting that shutter again and again.
