Live updates: Will Charlotte protests remain peaceful?
Protesters were marching in the streets of Charlotte Thursday following Tuesday’s fatal shooting of an African-American man, 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott, by a police officer in the University City area.
Protests turned violent Wednesday. According to police, 44 demonstrators were arrested. Five officers and nine civilians were injured.
