3 teens arrested in fatal east Charlotte robbery
Three teenagers were charged in the death of a woman who was shot during an armed robbery Tuesday morning in east Charlotte.
Antonio Darnell Shine, 19, and A'vone Williams, 17, were charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon, police said, for their alleged involvement in the death of 36-year-old Maria Eduvigig Echeverria de Gomez.
The third teen, an unidentified 15-year-old, was also charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon, police said.
Police didn't identify the third teen due to his age.
Gomez was reportedly on her way to work shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday, when she was shot in the 6200 block of Barrington Drive.
She was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where she died a short time after arriving.
Following the shooting, police said two suspects drove off in a black sedan.
