The 2015 Carolina Panthers are sure to go down as one of the best in franchise history. But how do today’s players stack up against the last Panther squad to play in the Super Bowl? Each day from now until Super Bowl 50, we’ll compare position players from the 2003 team to their counterparts on the 2015 team.
The 2003 team had Terry Cousin - 45 tackles, four pass defenses, and two sacks.
Reggie Howard - 52 tackles, 12 pass defenses, three interceptions and one and a half sacks.
Mike Minter - 76 tackles, eight pass defenses, a half of a sack, four interceptions and two touchdowns.
Deon Grant - 65 tackles, 12 pass defense and four interceptions.
The 2015 team has first team All-Pro Josh Norman - 53 tackles, 20 pass defenses, a sack, four interceptions and two touchdowns.
Kurt Coleman - 61 tackles, 9 pass defenses, a sack, nine interceptions and a touchdown.
Roman Harper - 48 tackles and five pass defenses.
Robert McClain (who is playing due to injuries) - 15 tackles, four pass defenses and one interception.
