Are you ready? Eat Black Charlotte Week returns to Charlotte this June
Eat Black Charlotte Week returns to Charlotte on June 3-12. Similar to last year’s festivities, the annual, weeklong event serves as a chance for Black-owned vendors and food businesses to engage the Charlotte community in several ways — including the celebration’s grand finale, the Eat Black Charlotte Food & Culture Festival.
Throughout the week, more than 20 food businesses will offer pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus. Among the participants are:
What The Fries and more.
HOW TO ORDER: When ordering, check with each participating restaurant for details about the Eat Black Charlotte Week pre-fixe lunch and dinner specials.

Soule’ coffee and more.

Last year was the first year for Eat Black Charlotte Week, and its festival drew more than 400 attendees, including Mayor Vi Lyles. The team behind Eat Black Charlotte includes Erique Berry, Cory Wilkins, Ryan Jones, Shay Jackson and Amber Owens.
“Last year we received so much positive and meaningful feedback from the community about our food truck event,” Berry said in a statement. “So, this year, attendees can expect more food trucks with the addition of retail vendors. To add even more, we’ll also have a kids’ entertainment area and a live music stage hosted by comedian Tim Shropshire.”
“We couldn’t have done this without the help of our community who truly believes in our vision,” Berry said.
