Finally, it’s back: Amelie’s reopens its uptown Charlotte location. Take a look inside.

Tartines and salted caramel brownies for lunch, here we come. Amélie’s French Bakery and Café reopened its Uptown Charlotte location on June 15.

The new space is designed to increase service speed with a new ordering system, along with a ‘Pick-Up Only’ section for lunch customers who are in a rush.

Other cosmetic changes include new flooring and a revamped dining room, plus a large catering and event space available for reservations.

“We have so many improvements and updates throughout the Uptown location that we’re excited to introduce. We’ve been overwhelmed by the customer support and anticipation of our return to the heart of Charlotte,” said Justy Martinez, Amelie’s operations director.

The restaurant is the Charlotte staple’s largest location at 14,000 square feet of space. It closed in November 2020 amid COVID-19 challenges.
