Breakfast + lunch spot opens second Charlotte location. ‘Can’t wait to serve you’
Fans of The Wafflery in Charlotte have a new spot to fill up on the restaurant’s famous waffles, biscuits and grits.
The eatery, known for its classic breakfast and lunch, has opened a second location at 2817 Rozzelles Ferry Road in West Charlotte. The grand opening celebration was Saturday, Dec. 13, according to a recent Instagram post.
The Wafflery also plans to open a third restaurant on Docia Crossing Road, the restaurant’s website says.
The brunch chain is the sister concept to Mattie’s Dinner, which closed in August, CharlotteFive previously reported.
“We have decided to sell to focus on growing our other concept,” owner Matt King wrote at the time. “We will never forget the memories and the wonderful people and connections we have made.”
At The Wafflery, customers can expect classics like chicken and waffles, biscuit sandwiches, and build-your-own grit bowls. Waffle toppings run the gamut from maple syrup to cinnamon apples and fried pickles.
“We can’t wait to serve you,” the restaurant said.
The Wafflery at Rozelles Ferry is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
