Shuttered uptown restaurant to be replaced by a familiar eatery. What to expect

A Charlotte restaurant serving signature salads and wraps is moving — though it isn’t going very far.

Crisp will find a new home at The Alley at Latta Arcade, taking over the former Young and Tate restaurant space in uptown, according to a recent permit request. Crisp’s original spot was just around the corner at 320 South Tryon Street.

A filing for the new digs at 132 Brevard Court seeks “a zoning inspection for the location with dba name of CRISP to get signoff for an ABC alcohol permit,” online documents show. Details on a possible opening date weren’t immediately available.

CharlotteFive reached out to Crisp for more information Feb. 10 but didn’t hear back.

The fast-casual chain had spots in Elizabeth and Dilworth, both of which have closed.

Crisp offers made-to-orders salads featuring with locally sourced ingredients and house-made dressings, according to uptown Charlotte. Customers have their choice of toppings, including grilled chicken, steak, shrimp or tofu.

Wraps are also on the menu alongside pasta, sandwiches and soup selections that change daily.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
