Suspect in homicide of Charlotte food delivery driver arrested in Texas
A man accused of shooting and killing a food delivery driver on Sunday in west Charlotte was arrested in Texas, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Wednesday.
Kelvin Javier Molina Garcia, 30, was arrested on Tuesday in Mesquite, Texas, in the shooting death of John Glenn Martinez, 26, a CMPD press release said.
The shooting occurred at 8:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Elmin Stree while Martinez was delivering food. Officers attempted to save Martinez, but he died at the scene from his wounds.
Molina Garcia is awaiting extradition to Charlotte, the press release said.
