NBA player lists his Lake Norman mansion at Trump golf course for $5.8M
Former Charlotte Hornets big man PJ Washington and his wife, Alisah, are selling their Lake Norman waterfront mansion at President Donald Trump’s golf course for $5.8 million, according to its listing by eXp Realty agent Joe Carteret.
The Hornets traded Washington to the Dallas Mavericks in February 2024, along with second-round picks in 2024 and 2025, for Grant Williams, Seth Curry and a protected 2027 first-round pick, The Charlotte Observer reported at the time.
Washington played multiple positions for the Hornets since Charlotte drafted him in the first round in 2019. In 44 games in 2024 before he was traded, Washington averaged 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists, the Observer reported.
Washington is currently the Mavericks second leading scorer, averaging 16.8 points per game.
Elevators, 30-foot handmade chandelier
The couple’s 8,887-square-foot home is on nearly an acre of woods in the 100 block of Cape Cod Way in The Point community, off Brawley School Road in Mooresville.
All owners in The Point are at least social members of President Donald Trump’s Trump National Golf Club Charlotte, which is “embedded” in the neighborhood, according to The Point Owners Association Inc.
The Charlotte Business Journal first reported the home was for sale.
The Washingtons paid $4.1 million for the home in October 2023, Iredell County property tax records show.
The county values the home and land at $3.8 million, according to county records.
The home went on the market on Friday, Oct. 24.
The mansion includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three elevator-served levels, and a 30-foot, handmade chandelier that weaves through a sculptural staircase, according to the listing.
Built in 2020, the home has a stucco and stone veneer exterior. Its open floor plan includes a family room with a fireplace, several other fireplaces, an entrance foyer, wet bar and skylights. There are also French, pocket and sliding doors; and a screened porch, its listing shows. Glass windows let in lots of light.
Outside is a boat slip; balcony; a heated, fenced pool and sauna; a fire pit; and a patio with a fireplace.
The home also has a four-car garage and one for golf carts.
