Cody Cater, Providence Day: Cater, the Chargers’ quarterback, attempted 13 passes in Thursday’s 51-0 victory over the Hickory Hawks. Five of his 10 completions were for touchdowns. Cater threw for 223 yards, including four passes for 62 yards and three touchdowns to All-American junior receiver Porter Rooks.

Dorian Davis, Shelby: The senior defensive back recovered two of the Golden Lions’ four forced turnovers in a 28-23 victory over previously unbeaten Kings Mountain on Friday. He intercepted a pass and also returned a fumble 8 yards for a touchdown. Shelby ended a three-game losing streak, its longest since 2012.

Casey Kelly, Mallard Creek: Threw five touchdown passes in the first half of the Mavericks’ 52-7 victory over Harding on Wednesday.

Ian Williams, Weddington: Kicker had a 52-yard field goal in a 31-21 victory over previously unbeaten Boiling Springs Crest Wednesday. He averaged 45 yards on four punts.
