New Charlotte eatery opening with half-pound eggrolls stuffed with pizza, steak + sweets
A food truck favorite in Charlotte is opening a permanent location Saturday, Nov. 23 at Camp North End.
Eggroll Company is opening in the Keswick District among Camp North End’s food stalls.
And don’t worry — you’ll still find the family-owned food truck on the road, too, popping up at community events and private functions.
Eggroll Company, founded in 2022 by Daphne Alexander, puts together half-pound, deep-fried concoctions served hot that you can share as an appetizer or eat as a main course or dessert.
Prices range from $7-$12 per roll, with choices including Uptown Steak and Chicken, each packed with red onions and sweet and spicy peppers, mozzarella and provolone cheese, and a signature garlic cheese spread.
Other options include the pepperoni-and-cheese packed Pizza Eggroll or the Southwest Veggie Delight with black beans, corn, sweet peppers, red onions and spinach, plus mozzarella and provolone, creamy queso and garlic butter spread.
There are also selections to soothe your sweet tooth, including apple pie, peach cobbler and strawberry cheesecake eggrolls. The brand was crowned the People’s Choice Champion at the 2024 Dessert Wars competition in Charlotte in September.
“We committed ourselves to being the standard of our niche food space, and since Eggroll Company was born two years ago it has expanded beyond our wildest dreams,” Alexander said in a news release.
“We are so excited to have a permanent presence at Camp North End, a diverse community we have been visiting for many years and that’s always felt like home. Camp just feels like a fit, and we can’t wait to engage with new and old customers alike as we deepen our roots in the neighborhood.”
