We’re back for Week 2 of watching Xavier Bonner, a Ph.D. candidate at UNC Chapel Hill who is looking for love on Season 20 of “The Bachelorette.”

Last week, Xavier met Charity Lawson, a Georgia native who was on Season 27 of “The Bachelor,” and the two hit it off pretty well. The 6’6” knitting scientist looked “spiffy” for his first impression and was charming enough later on to get a kiss.

What happened on Week 2? Keep reading.

‘Sun’s out, buns out’

Xavier got picked for a beach dodgeball group date this week and “Sun’s out, buns out” was the title of the date card. Buns were indeed on display since all the guys had to change into tiny bikini-style bathing suits to play.

Xavier, 27, was on the Pink Team and his experience playing dodgeball at camp as a kid paid off. Unbiased opinion: he was the strongest player on his team. Xavier played tough and made the winning catch at the end to seal the Pink Team victory. The Pink Team got to spend the evening with Charity, while the Green Team had to go back to the mansion.

He avoided the drama at the cocktail party, even though there were a ton of death-glares directed at Brayden, who ticks off every man on this show and gives me the creeps.

We didn’t see any of Xavier’s one-on-one time with Charity at the cocktail party — if he got any.

Non-Xavier moments on the show

Aaron B. got the first one-on-one date with Charity, and it was all good, no notes. He got the rose at the end of the date, and they danced while being serenaded by country singer Lauren Alaina, best known in these parts for being runner-up on “American Idol” the year Scotty McCreery won.

The second group date had a group of guys competing for the honor of trying to break the “Bachelor” franchise Longest Kiss record, meaning it had to be longer than three minutes. Joey won (or did Charity win?) and they easily broke the record — and didn’t slow down. They broke the old record by more than a minute.

Joey’s championship performance earned him the second one-on-one date of the night. He had a low-key date with Charity, and he told her about his family, including that his parents divorced because his dad came out as gay. He seems so sincere and into her — and she’s into him! Of course he got the date rose.

Brayden gets the award for Person Who Goes on a Show About Mass-Dating and is Outraged That the Star is Actually Dating Other People. Dude, stop bluffing. Just pack your dangly earrings and go home. Adrian gets the award for Person Who Can’t Stop Talking to the Star About Everybody Else’s Business.

Did Xavier get a rose?

Yes, Xavier is sticking around.

Who went home on Week 2 of ‘The Bachelorette’?

These guys didn’t get a rose this week:

  • Caleb A.
  • Kaleb with a K

  • John Henry
  • Josh
  • Spencer
