Jayda McDonnell, Ambassador Christian volleyball: The Lions’ senior setter had 45 assists and 16 digs in 3-2 win at Legion Collegiate on Sept. 23.
McDonnell also had 30 assists and four digs in a 3-0 victory at Forsyth Home Educators on Sept. 25.
McDonnell has 496 assists and 114 digs for an Ambassador Christian team (20-5) that had won 10 straight matches through Saturday.
Madison Park, Myers Park golf: The Mustangs’ senior shot a 2-under-par 34 par to earn the Greater Charlotte 7A/8A conference player of the year honors at Harry Jones Golf Club onSept. 23.

Mali Pillai, Providence Day golf: The Chargers’ junior shot an even par 36 to earn medalist honors on the front nine holes at Cedarwood Country Club on Sept. 24.
Pillai’s play helped Providence Day to a team victory over Cannon School and Charlotte Country Day.
Katie Pilon, Charlotte Country Day field hockey: The Buccaneers’ senior forward scored five goals in a 7-0 win over Covenant Day on Sept. 24.
Pilon also scored two goals in a 4-0 victory at Cary Academy on Sept. 26.
Pilon finished off the week with two more goals in a 7-0 at St. Mary’s on Sept. 27.
