Vietnamese restaurant to open new spot in University City. What to expect
A Vietnamese restaurant serving authentic street food is expanding in Charlotte.
1368 Sweet Corner Cafe is plotting a new location in University City that’s slated to open in late spring, the restaurant shared in a message posted on Facebook. It will take over the former Binki Cafe spot, which closed in December.
“Because of you, we’re growing and bringing our sweet treats to a new neighborhood!” the owners wrote. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new store!”
1368 Sweet Corner Cafe also has a shop in Steele Creek.
The fusion restaurant serves a variety of Asian-inspired street foods — think savory bahn mi sandwiches, steamy bowls of pho, cheesy Korean corn dogs and fries piled high with pork kimchi. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a mochi donut or creamy boba tea.
Coffee is also on the menu alongside fruit teas, tropical slushees and sugar cane juice.
“With our convenient order-and-enjoy concept, customers simply place their order and bring it to their table, making it easy to relax and enjoy good food with friends and family,” owner Crystal Nguyen told CharlotteFive.
Nguyen didn’t share further details about the forthcoming restaurant but told fans to stay tuned for the official opening date.
