Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is heading to Charlotte — her only stop in the Carolinas. If you didn’t get tickets, there’s one thing to keep in mind: Don’t get your hopes up to hear the music when booking a nearby rooftop or outdoor patio reservation.

The concert ticket prices vary widely, but are hovering at hundreds of dollars. If you’re like me (a college student with no Beyoncé ticket money) and want to craft your own Beyoncé experience on Aug. 9 without blowing your wallet for a ticket, I have one piece of advice for you: Keep your expectations measured.

Graham St. Pub & Patio is one of the closest rooftop and patio spots to Bank of America Stadium. It’s less than a five-minute walk and about .01-mile from the stadium.

“For events at the stadium, we can hear the crowd cheering, fireworks and sometimes the PA announcers during sporting events,” said Amit Patel, Graham St. Pub & Patio’s owner.

But what about stadium concerts?

“We can slightly hear the music, but not the words during concerts,” Patel said.

If people at this restaurant, which is about 500 feet from the stadium, can only slightly hear the concert, then you might want to think twice about booking a rooftop or patio reservation to try to get in on the Beyonce experience in Charlotte.

Instead, we recommend that you look at a few Beyoncé-themed events celebrating her visit to the Carolinas.
