Thousands of people from all over the region will be traveling to Charlotte this week ahead of Beyoncé’s concert at Bank of America Stadium. Despite cloudy skies leading up to the concert, the weather is expected to hold up for the big show.
The global superstar will be performing Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. Doors will begin opening at 6 p.m., but BeyHive fans will likely be gathering near the stadium hours beforehand.
A stadium spokesperson told The Charlotte Observer that the show will take place rain or shine, but it may be delayed if inclement weather pops up in the area.
Luckily for fans, it looks like that won’t be the case.
According to the extended forecast from the National Weather Service, it will be sunny with a high near 90 degrees during the day and mostly cloudy with a low around 73 degrees in Charlotte on Wednesday evening. There’s a small chance of overnight thunderstorms afterward.
Because it’ll be warm, stadium officials say those going to the outdoor show are encouraged to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen while the sun is out. There will be food and drink concessions inside available for purchase, but each guest is also allowed to bring two sealed 16.9 oz bottles of water to the show.
