How to buy concert tickets safely without getting scammed

Before you buy a ticket, make sure it’s coming from a reputable site so that you don’t get scammed.

For big events, such as the Beyoncé concert, experts say it’s common for scammers to try to take advantage of fans looking for tickets.

From scammers creating fake resale websites to selling tickets that they don’t actually have on social media, there are several ways to lose money.

Here are some tips from the Better Business Bureau to avoid concert ticket scams:

  • Only buy tickets from trusted vendors.

  • Do your research on the seller to make sure it is a reputable ticket vendor or reseller.

  • Watch out for fake websites.

  • Use a safe payment method, such as a credit card, to be able to dispute fraudulent charges if need be.
