Give the gift of warmth this holiday season during Zip-Up Day. Commemorating the last day of the Charlotte Coat Drive, Zip-Up Day invites Charlotteans to bring new or gently used coat donations to the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille parking lot. All donations benefit the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte, and those who donate will be greeted with music, free food, sports mascots, photo booth and a stilt walker during the drive-thru-style event. Check out the Southern Christmas Show while in its town. More than 400 local artisans and small makers will fill the Park Expo and Conference Center for the largest holiday show in North America. Try the new brunch offerings at Indaco. Since the restaurant is known for its Italian food, you can expect brunch favorites with an Italian twist, such as a carbonara burger, black pepper tagliatelle and eggs benedict (with polenta and pancetta instead of the traditional English muffin and ham). Attend the CineOdyssey Film Festival, a global and multicultural celebration of works by filmmakers of color.
